About
My daughter and I have combined our talents to produce collector quality, historically significant, 1” scale colonial chairs.
I contribute my more than 50 years of experience making miniature chairs for friends and private collectors. My daughter, Kim, who graduated from Rhode Island School of Design, uses her artistic talents to decorate the chairs.
The chairs we make have historical significance dating back to early colonial times in America. A short history of the significance of each chair accompanies each shipment. Additionally, each chair has a polished brass plaque attached to the bottom of the seat which is signed by the maker, dated and serialized.
Each chair is customized to meet customer preferences for color of stain and decoration. The Hitchcock chairs are also customized with miniature logos as were many full size Hitchcock chairs. These logos may be favorite sports teams or colleges or any other logo preferred by the customer which make them a unique gift not only for collectors of fine miniatures but also anyone else with an affinity toward their team, college or any other logo.
